Suddenly the world became dull, colorless, made of simple lines, stylized, that rather than leading to stability and peace of mind worthy of any simple design transforms the world into a complete lie, in a constant decline from technology to the comments complacent cloying, it is only possible to truly open the eyes when a strange, -inexplicable tool in their forms for this flat world decadent and substantially- raises the terror in some of these men and can somehow give the volume and authentically to the absurd reality we spit in the face.

First sketch of the protagonist of the Cross Project

By | January 25, 2010

Cross Project is a 3D animated short I’m finishing level outline script and drawing. The protagonist, the basis of all the short story, is a hit man to whom is entrusted the murder of a former partner at home. Obviously the latter is not prepared to wait with open arms to his executioner.

That’s the premise, because I do not want to delve more would spoil the final result. The picture below shows the first sketch of the main character, you see the main feature of this man is defeated and disinterested look, the exoskeleton that covers the torso and part of the chest, and the cross he carries in his back.

All these elements serve a real function, except the cross in the drawing is expressing the theme of which is short. That’s all for now, more progress soon.

Short animation – Distraxion

By | September 21, 2009

This short film written, directed and very well animated by Mike Stern shows us what happens when the concentration caused by external agents (concerns, noise, and in this case who does not like music) does not allow us to do our work, especially when we’re about start something big.

The animation is very good, cartoon style. The textures are minimal and in some cases the colors are flat, but the continuous movement of the characters and the camera makes us distracted from this point.
