The Art Influences Film

It is undeniable that art, in all its ramifications, can bring more beauty and a profound message to anything you do in life.

The artists live in a constant feedback that is not limited to their branch, but is able to be inspired by different types of art that exist.

The inspiration comes to create a preliminary concept which results in a more general setting. It is for designers of visual concepts for films.

Some of these artists are well known in the film industry, others are a bit more hidden in the shadow of anonymity but both contribute equally fundamental ideas that provide a specific idea of the visual universe of the story.

Suddenly the world became dull, colorless, made of simple lines, stylized, that rather than leading to stability and peace of mind worthy of any simple design transforms the world into a complete lie, in a constant decline from technology to the comments complacent cloying, it is only possible to truly open the eyes when a strange, -inexplicable tool in their forms for this flat world decadent and substantially- raises the terror in some of these men and can somehow give the volume and authentically to the absurd reality we spit in the face.

First sketch of the protagonist of the Cross Project

Cross Project is a 3D animated short I’m finishing level outline script and drawing. The protagonist, the basis of all the short story, is a hit man to whom is entrusted the murder of a former partner at home. Obviously the latter is not prepared to wait with open arms to his executioner.

That’s the premise, because I do not want to delve more would spoil the final result. The picture below shows the first sketch of the main character, you see the main feature of this man is defeated and disinterested look, the exoskeleton that covers the torso and part of the chest, and the cross he carries in his back.

All these elements serve a real function, except the cross in the drawing is expressing the theme of which is short. That’s all for now, more progress soon.

Summer Wars

Summer Wars is an animated movie and science fiction. The film focuses on a shy student in the eleventh grade mathematical genius, who has been wrongly implicated in a crime of piracy of a virtual world.

With the help of his classmates, should prevent the real world and the computer simulation collide. It was produced by Japanese animation studio Madhouse and directed by Mamoru Hosoda.

The project was first announced without a title at the 2008 Tokyo International Anime Fair, and the first trailer of the movie was released in April 2009.

Two manga adaptations of the film were released before the film’s release in Japan and South Korea. He was nominated for the 2009 award at the Golden Leopard International Film Festival Locarno.
