Conceptual Art of Bio-mutant

By | November 30, 2009

Do conceptual art of this bio-mutant because now I’m busy with some activities outside the art. This does not mean I did it reluctantly, on the contrary, fully enjoyed my first idea of what it was a monster.

I based on a mutant zombie or combined with a genetically engineered creature (the whole saga Resident Evil, Survival Horror game par excellence). I’ve never created a creature like me so grown rather fond of my humble version of Frankenstein.

To get the general idea of what is to me a monster three words: asymmetry, ugliness, disgust. Especially the first asymmetry, every creature that has this feature is out of the patterns of what beauty means today.

This work is the basis for creating a 3D figure next summer so this “unfortunate” in a terrific trailer. In the next post attached the other views and details.

Drawing Workshop – Eyes – Tips

By | September 16, 2009

Let me share with you 4 guidelines that could be taken into account when drawing the eye in front view, which are detailed well in the picture below:

1 .- The eyebrow behind the eye: Drawing on the vertical, the brow should be behind the eye. In the character in the passive, quiet, expressionless eyes are not what the eyebrow. Only when the character frowns (expression of anger) the brow is stretched and the distance to the eye increases.

2 .- Distance is shortened: The space between the top of the eye and the lower edge of the eyebrow is accentuated as we get closer to the nose. This is shown clearly by comparing the distances from the upper left corner of the eye (in the case of the image) with the eyebrow and the upper right edge of the eye and eyebrow.

By | September 15, 2009

I was reading an article in a blog dedicated to film about Quentin Tarantino‘s first flirtation in filmmaking and how the end result was not exactly what was expected of a director with the talent that he currently holds.

The pseudo-movie (can not call it film, sorry Quentin) is titled My Best Friend’s Birthday, and tells the story of Mickey that is deserted by his girlfriend, for that reason his friend Clarence (Tarantino) plans to celebrate a birthday than ever forget.

Drawing Workshop – Eyes

By | September 8, 2009

Introduction:

In my quest for wanting to liberate titanica almost all the ideas in my head I discovered that the best way to start planning anything is through a drawing or sketch.

If you are going to start a comic book (comic, manga) or some visual work (animation 2d, 3d, cinema), the first idea should be reflected in the form of a drawing on paper. I think this way ideas are better sorted and can project a better understanding of it.

I personally have never followed any kind of drawing or the like, I consider myself self-taught to some extent, so the following guide is a summary of what I learn on this long journey through different sources and that let me start with the end projects that I have been dreaming of.
